Under new ownership, the resort is being modernised and upgraded to provide comfortable, affordable accommodation for solo travellers, families, and small groups seeking a relaxing coastal getaway. Newly refurbished, the Thatches offers a range of units, from cosy cottages to spacious family apartments, all equipped with modern kitchenettes and comfortable furnishings.
Guests can enjoy the resort's outdoor braai areas, and a refreshing swimming pool, perfect for unwinding after a day of beach activities or exploring the nearby attractions. Our Cottages 2, 3 &4 and Apartments 7, 8, 9 & 10 feature two bedrooms—one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. Double bunks can be added on request, increasing the capacity to six people. The unit includes a shared bathroom, an open-plan kitchenette and lounge with a TV, and a covered patio equipped with either a gas or fire braai.
Appartment 6 is more spacious, with two bedrooms, each featuring an en-suite bathroom. It also has an open-plan kitchenette and lounge with a TV, as well as a patio with a braai.
The Lux Apartment includes two bedrooms, each with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. It offers an indoor braai, a large kitchen, a separate scullery equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble dryer, plus a dining area, a lounge, and a study area.
All cottages and apartments are cleaned by The Thatches staff seven days a week, free of charge.
Tea and coffee is provided.
All units have access to DSTV hospitality package, a braai, lapa and swimming pool.
